I recently took part in the The Children's Trust Christmas Fair
On the day of the fair, I woke up, looked out the window and, seeing torrential rain and howling wind, almost decided not to get out of bed. But I wrapped up warm, headed to the venue and set up shop in the marquee.
It was a very busy day but two customers stand out in my mind: A young girl, aged about 12, sitting in her wheelchair, was wheeled over to my stall by her carer so she could browse. She decided to buy some earrings for her mum. The payment took some time as she struggled to get her hand to work and get money out her purse but she worked hard and was so proud to pay for her purchase.
My other customer was a paediatric nurse who, aside from holding down her job in Kent, also volunteers at the centre in her spare time. After meeting this lovely lady with heart of gold, I felt a bit silly for moaning about something as trivial as the cold weather.
I was humbled to meet so many special people that work for and depend on The Childrens Trust and am pleased that I could contribute to this great cause.
Drumroll please! Very excited to announce that WildeSister has just launched a fabulous range of children's accessories. Like all WildeSister products, there are no hard and fast rules about what the range will cover. But if it's fun, funky and different, then you can betcha that WildeSister will have it available.
