Last Friday, I did a jewellery party and the lovely hostess decided to make a donation to A-T Children's Project (more details below) instead of taking advantage of free jewellery.
Ataxia-telangiectasia, or A-T, is a rare genetic disease that attacks children, causing progressive loss of muscle control, immune system problems, and a high rate of cancer. Organizations around the world are working to increase awareness, provide information to families, and work toward finding a cure. http://www.atcp.org/ One of the guest's friend personally knows a child who has been affected by this awful disease so making the donation to such a great cause felt really good. Despite it being a late night, I left the party feeling very energised and thankful for my beautiful, healthy little boy fast asleep at home.
